When you hire a wedding planner, you are reducing A LOT of stress on yourselves! Even with a wedding planner, Katelyne and Steve ran into their fair share of issues with the wedding plans and the big one was losing their reception venue only 3 months before the wedding! With 3 months to spare, we had to find a new venue, change the design, and adapt to the new VERY different space, all while keeping with the bride’s vision! This was one for the books, and not just because of the ‘minor’ venue hiccup, but because it was an absolutely fantastic day! It all came together in the end, and THAT is why we do this, folks!
Rain Rain, Go Away….
So, the day started with us all watching radars like some sort of meteorologist experts! Katelyne and her girls had their hair and makeup done by Blush Artistry. Her AMAZING dress? That’s from Bailando Boutique! With the ceremony at Aga Khan Amphitheatre, we kept our fingers crossed! The fun and personable Tammy Banting officiated the wedding. The weather held up, and they had a stunning ceremony! A beautiful vocal and piano performance was done by Lindsey Nagy! About 20 minutes into family photos, the rain began. We’ll take it! The beauty of a University of Alberta Botanic Garden wedding, is they have several awesome indoor locations as well.
Oh, Hello Rain!
It’s okay – we had indoor spots, and clear umbrella’s! The bridal party braved the rain, and the amazing Daphne Chen Photography got through all photos fairly quickly. The bridal party boarded their Limo Bus with Last Minute Limousines, and off they went!
It’s a nice day for a White Wedding…
The reception took place in the gorgeous Top of the Inn at the Delta Edmonton South. With its city views and starlight ceiling, it’s one of our favourite #yeg venues!
Katelyne really had a vision for a clean, modern and romantic white wedding. With the only colour’s popping in the gorgeous florals provided by Cerise Floral Studio. We brought in white draping, mirror charger plates and lovely satin linens from the always great River City Events. A crisp dance floor wrap, photobooth and indoor sparklers provided by Talent Productions! The room was perfection!
A 4-course meal, yummy cocktails, hilarious speeches, and a cake provided by Triple L Cakes, which was both gorgeous & delicious, and the reception was a huge hit. With the formalities over, DJ Thomas Culture rocked the dance floor all night, and the guests had a great time! CONGRATS to Katelyne & Steve, we absolutely loved being your wedding planners!
