VIP Weddings & Events is an experienced team of Event Coordinators in the Edmonton area. VIP started over 13 years ago as a vision to bring an edge to the event planning business. We are a team born from looking at things in a different way. Whether you want a white wedding, or a black one, a professional business dinner, or a unique one, we will happily suit your needs. We at VIP Weddings & Events truly believe that every single event should be perfectly tailored to the couple, business, or attendants. There is no cookie cutter way to do it all, so we won’t think that way!

Sarah Mitchell

Owner/Head Event Coordinator


Sarah is the owner of VIP Weddings & Events and has been with VIP since its start as Head Event Coordinator. Sarah is a graduate of Grant MacEwan College with a diploma in Technical Theater Production and has put this to good use working as a stage manager and lighting director on both theatre stages and movie sets. Sarah discovered her love for theatre translated to event planning nicely and began her journey in becoming one of Edmonton’s top planners. With the combination of her education, vast customer service experience, excellent production skills and her strong sense of style, Sarah has found a calling as a unique and sought after event planner.

Kihya McComb

Event & Wedding Coordinator


Kihya has always had a passion for creating events that friends and family wouldn’t forget. This passion led her to seek an opportunity as the newest intern with VIP, where she could learn and develop the skills behind creating momentous events. Kihya has quickly risen to Event & Wedding Coordinator! Kihya comes to VIP with a diverse background in customer service, management, marketing, and graphic design. With her creative eye and organizational skills, she’s ready to help create a memorable experience for you and your guests!

Mista Zaugg

Event & Wedding Coordinator


Mista also graduated from the Theatre Production program at Grant MacEwan, where she and Sarah met and started VIP Weddings & Events! Mista’s passion and love for design, customer service and executing the perfect event has surely catapulted her career into Event Management, Administration and retail design. Mista is also a mother to two beautiful girls, and loves photography, including photographing some of our amazing couple’s weddings!

Kim Silcoff

Event & Wedding Coordinator


Kim started with VIP Weddings & Events as an intern with a purpose! Her background full of customer service, problem solving and event management proved to come in useful as she was put to the test and thrown into the VIP Weddings & Events world! Kim quickly climbed the ladder, taking her skills and fine tuning them to create stunning and beautiful events for clients. She is now our go-to event planner on the team, and ready to tackle anything! Her sunny personality and ability to make you feel calm no matter what has proven to be an asset to VIP Weddings & Events. Be sure to inquire about Kim for your next event!
